There is a chance that Ranga Chivaviro, a forward for Kaizer Chiefs, may depart from the team before the start of the 2025/2026 Betway Premiership season. It has been stated that Amakhosi are currently reviewing their squad, and changes in the attacking department are expected.

A Matter Concerning Chivaviro's Agreement

Soccer Laduma has reported that Chivaviro's existing contract is set to expire on June 30, 2025. While the club can extend the contract for another year, they have not taken that option yet. Since becoming a part of the club, the 32-year-old attacker has had difficulty making a significant impact, and this hold-up indicates that he might be departing from the club soon.

The Position That Glody Lilepo Holds Under Coach Nabi

Throughout this period, Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi responded to the many rumors surrounding Glody Lilepo's status. Although there were suggestions that the winger might be converted into a striker, Nabi dismissed the notion and asserted that Lilepo is better suited for the winger role. "He occupies the winger role, on either the left or right side." As cited by iDiski Times, Nabi stated, "He played as a second striker for Valenciennes in France, but that’s not his preferred position." He emphasized that while Lilepo has the ability to strike, the Chiefs need a specialist forward to enhance their goal-scoring performance.

Furthermore, Nabi revealed that Kaizer Chiefs will focus on acquiring players from various nations beyond South Africa, as local teams have been reluctant to sell to them. Embracing this new strategy is evident in the club's recent signing of Thabo Cele from FC Fakel Voronezh, that is situated in Russia.

"The chairman stated that a new strategy is necessary as attracting players from other South African clubs is challenging." "If necessary, we will head outside," Nabi stated. Given the uncertainty about Chivaviro's future and the expectation of new signings, Chiefs supporters might expect a busy transfer window soon.
