New Contract For Kaizer Chiefs Player

Kaizer Chiefs have granted their forward a new deal that prolongs his time in Naturena until at least 2027. Kaizer Chiefs forward Ashley Du Preez has extended his contract with the club, ensuring he remains at Naturena until 2027. 

The 27-year-old has recently experienced a revival in the latter half of the season. Du Preez was thought to be sought after by various European clubs

“To be honest I’ve heard that they are going to renew my contract,” answered Du Preez when asked for reaction by iDiski Times.

“They trust in me. So, for me as a player is to give back to them, you know to give back to the club and to work on getting a better contract as a player.”

“So, for me is to give back to the club.”

Since Nasreddine Nabi joined, Du Preez has found it difficult to get playing time in the early part of the season. The Tunisian tactician opted to play with Ranga Chivaviro in attack, while the ex-Stellies player has been employed as a substitute.

With Ranga underperforming, Du Preez has become the first choice and frequently gives deserving performances for Kaizer Chiefs. As Tashreeq Morris and Wandile Duba are to come back to play in the near future, it is still not certain whether Du Preez will be able to retain his position or come off the bench frequently
